The Royal Blue Trainset v1.0
----------------------------------------------
By: Ted Thompson (OhioRailFan) ted@mosweb.com

GENERAL INFORMATION
-------------------

The Royal Blue was a New York to Washington DC passenger service / trainset that was operated lointly by the Baltimore & Ohio, the Philadelphia & Reading and the Central New Jersey Railroads. First concieved by the B&O, it was to be competition for the Pennsylvania Railroad's similar services.

At the turn of the century each of the three railroads provided the motive power on their respective trackage, so too did they share in ownership of the actual coaches that made up these trains. Each of them were painted in a common livery, but they also wore the seal of the railroad's home state. (B&O - Maryland, P&R - Pennsylvania, CNJ - New Jersey)
